By using this Website or enrolling in our services, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use this Website.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Website, create an account, or enroll in our training programs. By using this Website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
Services
Best Buddy Dog Training provides professional dog training services, including in-home training and board-and-train programs, across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, and Rhode Island. Service details, pricing, and availability are described on our Website and may change without notice.
Client Accounts
When you create an account on our Website, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to update your information promptly if it changes.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if we believe your account has been compromised or if you violate these Terms.
Enrollment and Payment
By enrolling in a training program through our Website, you agree to pay the fees associated with your selected program. All payments are processed securely through PayPal. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize the charges at the time of enrollment.
Enrollment is confirmed upon successful payment. You will receive a confirmation and further instructions regarding scheduling your training sessions.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you need to cancel your enrollment, please contact us as soon as possible at (401) 536-7982 or info@bestbuddydogtraining.com. Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis and depends on how many sessions have been completed. We reserve the right to issue full, partial, or no refunds at our discretion.
SMS / Text Messaging Terms
Best Buddy Dog Training ("Best Buddy Dog Training," "we," "us," or "our") offers an optional SMS text messaging program ("Program") for client communication purposes. By opting in to our SMS Program, you agree to the following terms, which are subject to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) Messaging Principles and Best Practices, and all applicable federal, state, and carrier regulations.
1. Program Description
Program Name: Best Buddy Dog Training Client Messaging
Program Description: We use SMS text messages to send enrollment confirmations, appointment reminders, training schedule updates, session coordination, and program-related communications to enrolled clients. Messages are sent manually by Shawn Hines, Owner. This SMS Program is separate from any email or telephone communications you may receive from us.
2. Consent and Opt-In
You opt in to receive SMS text messages from Best Buddy Dog Training by checking the SMS consent checkbox during the enrollment process on our Website. Your opt-in constitutes your express written consent to receive text messages from Best Buddy Dog Training at the mobile phone number you provide.
Consent is not required as a condition of enrollment or services. You may enroll in our training programs without opting in to SMS messaging.
By opting in, you confirm that the mobile phone number you provide is your own, that you are authorized to receive text messages at that number, and that you understand and agree to these SMS Terms.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. You will typically receive only a few messages per month related to your training schedule. The number of messages you receive depends on your program activity and upcoming appointments. We will not send more than 10 messages per recipient in any 24-hour period.
4. Message and Data Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's standard messaging and data rates will apply to any messages you send to or receive from us. Best Buddy Dog Training is not responsible for any fees charged by your wireless carrier. Please contact your wireless carrier if you have questions about your messaging plan.
5. Opt-Out
You can opt out of receiving SMS text messages from us at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from Best Buddy Dog Training. You may also use any of the following keywords to opt out: STOP, QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE.
After you opt out, you will receive a single confirmation message acknowledging your request. No further text messages will be sent unless you opt in again. We will honor your opt-out request immediately.
Opting out of SMS messages does not affect any other communications you receive from us, such as email or telephone calls. If you wish to opt out of those communications, you must do so separately.

7. Supported Carriers
Our SMS Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and US Cellular. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to your carrier's coverage area and network availability.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
We will not share your SMS opt-in data or consent status with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of this SMS Program. We may share your personal data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for their marketing purposes.
Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We retain records of your opt-in consent, including the date, time, and method of consent, for a minimum of four (4) years.
9. Automated Messages
By opting in, you acknowledge that text messages sent as part of this Program will be manually generated by an authorized member of the Best Buddy Dog Training management and training team. Your consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.
10. Changes to SMS Terms
We reserve the right to modify these SMS Terms at any time. If material changes are made, we will notify you via text message. Your continued participation in the SMS Program after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Assumption of Risk
Dog training involves working with animals, which carries inherent risks including but not limited to bites, scratches, and property damage. By enrolling in our programs, you acknowledge and accept these risks. You are responsible for providing accurate information about your dog's behavioral history, including any bite history, aggression, or medical conditions.
Best Buddy Dog Training is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during or as a result of training sessions, except in cases of gross negligence on our part.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, images, videos, logos, graphics, and training materials — is the property of Best Buddy Dog Training or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on this Website without our express written permission.
