Motivation & Corrections
Once the dog has accepted your leadership and begun to exhibit respectful calm submission, he is taught correct behaviors and to follow commands thru consistent motivation such as praise, affection, toys, treats, closeness and if necessary, correction. Motivation and praise are given happily, enthusiastically and unabashedly. Corrections are given consistently and as gently as possible, but as firmly as necessary. The dog learns that obedience is not optional and to respond appropriately to commands given one time in a calm voice. Always, our focus is on the development of a positive, loving relationship.
